In the summer of 2026 and, after a concerted fundraising campaign, The Garibaldi in Redhill was successful in purchasing the freehold of the pub. The venue had been operated by the community for many years previously, and with the purchase of the freehold complete, the pub's future as a community asset is now secured.

To celebrate this achievement, we visited the pub on the afternoon of Sunday 1st November 2026 to hand over a special award.
